The airmail rate to Europe was 30c per 1/2 oz. Registration fee was 15 cents.
"Clipper Air Mail" handstamp on front indicates the sender want Trans-Atlantic airmail service via the Pan Am Clipper.

Stamp was issued to promote and pay the rate for the new Trans-Atlantic airmail service. In this instance the 30c Winged Globe was used to make up the 40 cent per 1/2 oz rate to Brazil.
